You said that you wanted to see the world
and you just had to get out of this town
so we went as far as our money could
and tried to make another life for us

But after a while you were at it again
looking out the window longingly
you said it was time to move on
this life just wasn't enough for you

I don't know why you can't be happy
right where you are in the end
i just know that you'll never give up
and you'll always be restless again

Restless again
It's always the same old story
Over before it begins
You run away from all the people
Who try to get in
And give you something to believe in

I followed you to the ends of the earth
waiting for you to settle down
but you never stayed anywhere long enough
to feel like home and put your anchor down

I don't know why you can't be happy
right where you are in the end
i just know that you'll never give up
and you'll always be restless again
