Since the Fall

"Since the Fall" is the third song that I've recorded in the past few weeks that features the Harmonica I bought myself for my birthday. As the 3rd song in what I like to call the 'Harmonica Trilogy', I think that this is the best one yet. This one really came together quickly - the lyrics, music, recording, mixing. As an added bonus, I even got to use a Mandolin for the first time in any of my recordings (thanks to Alan Olifson for lending it to me). I think it really adds a nice touch!

While the subject matter of this one is kind of sad and a little depressing, it touches on subjects that I've been dealing with a lot this past month or so.

and he sat in the corner underneath the clock
and i walked up behind him and pulled up a chair

dont ever get old like me
and i turned away so i wouldnt see
